I was very indecisive about giving this a four or five rating. This game holds a lot in the way of chess playing engines, online, etc... and yes, it is a great chess software. The problem I have is with the features, too many perhaps. There are a ton of PNG and Appearance settings, unfortunately, so many of them are, change color to this... change that color, etc... and no need to pack in so many minor settings in a software. If you see 3-D board, it's just a raised edge, nothing more which is fine, it's not all about the looks obviously. Another issue that I had was one click and my pieces sometimes move automatically before I choose the position which got annoying. One other issue was not being able to deselect a piece regardless of what I did. This aside, the game play was nice. Very challenging and nice to see all the extra data behind the game. The main purpose and engine shadows the shortcomings of the game, not enough to give it a 5, but I will definitely keep playing since I love chess and this has one of the most challenging game plays out there it seems. show Review details
