I recently tried out this defragmentation program and I must say I was very impressed. It has several defrag methods, such as optimizing by access, optimize by zone, boot time, several more and also the ability to optimize your SSD. After I installed it, I performed a complete defrag of my hard drive and it did an excellent job. It was able to complete the task fairly quickly and removed all fragments. Another good feature is this defrag checks the disk for errors, clear browser cache and gets the HDD prepared before the defragmentation begins. If you are looking for a great defrag, this is the one to get. You won't be disappointed.

For longtime PC users, Active KillDisk is a well-known name. KillDisk permanently erases all data on drives, ensuring that it cannot be recovered. It features more than 20 sanitization standards, including the newest IEEE 2883, so if you are worried about compliance, there is nothing to worry about. The sanitization process is straightforward; you click on the drive, pick the data sanitization process, confirm, and you are good to go. For all the years I have used it, I have never encountered any issues. For those who want certificate creation, there is an editor within the software with which you can customize certificates, labels, etc. Now for the bad stuff. There aren't many, but they should be mentioned. First of the being that, the UI should get an upgrade. This one is not bad; it scales well, but it is visible that it wasn't from recent times. The second issue I have with it is that it is not immediately clear after the purchase how many drives one can erase simultaneously with one license. After reading the description, one might get the (wrong!) idea that it is one license one drive, but in fact, it's first license 2 drives, with every additional drive slot needing an additional license. I somehow feel that this should have been communicated much better. Other than that, the software is fine.

This little portable program is getting long in the tooth. Last time it was updated was Apr 10, 2019 as per this website. And when I went to the link to the program's home page as provided on this website, but it seems to have redirected to a Kapersky F.A.Q. page which has no info about TDSSKiller. When I ran the program a little while ago, it told me that it was attempting to obtain an update, but I serioiusly have my doubts that one was available. In other words, it might be worth running but might not be capable of catching newer rootkits.

I have photos, videos, and music on my Samsung device and I need to transfer them to my laptop. But I don't know how. Fortunately, I saw Syncios, and installed it to have a try. I didn't expect it to be so seamless and convenient. Now I'm a fan of Syncios!

Ive tried so many of these app that claimed to do half of what this one does. This app does exactly what i need it to, and much faster than i thought. This has replaced KDE which i barely use now. Thanks for this! 10 stars.

Free version limited to 2 minute recording Intuitive and easy to use. Worth it if you want to pony up the dough. Not worth it for me to use infrequently, few times a year maybe.

XYplorer is a fantastic file explorer on steroids. However, for at least 10 years, the 'updatesimprovements' have only affected about 110 of 1 of users, yet the author refuses to simply 'end of life it' and find another application to work on. I'm using V14.80.0200 from over 10 years ago. It's megabytes smaller than today's latest versions and still does more than what 99.9999 of people use a file explorer for.

R-Wipe&Clean is much easier to configure than BleachBit (then again, what doesn't?), but it's overpriced and unstable. One time, I configured it to delete a single log file under "C:Program Files (x86)", and it deleted every directory under "C:Program Files (x86)" up to and including the one with the targeted log file. Obviously, this is a bug, and a very nasty one. I was able to restore from a system image. R-Wipe&Clean support ignored me.

This is probably one of the best Look-in-File search utilties out there. I used it to scan MS-Word documents for a particular word-phrase and it was able to find all references across multiple directories. The interface is easy to maneuver and move from one referenced file to the next while it is displaying the text area with the search phrase that I entered. Its a pretty sweet tool if you need this kind of power.

Nirsoft tools are amazing tools and this one is no different. It quickly allows you to see what website, program connections are going out of your machine. With this information, you can choose to block or due more tracking on the IP traffic for forensic purposes or if you just want to know what is talking to servers on the Internet. The interface is the same on all tools, so when you use one you will be comfortable with any other that you may use.

My requirement to print text files to PDF was met perfectly with Doro PDF Writer. It's a small download, it does not (like at least one alternative) require you to download and install multiple modules to make it work. There are no ads or nag screens. It may not have the configuration options of some of the competition, but it does the PDF print conversion very well.

Great browser in many ways but it sets itself as Default browser, and auto-runs on pc startup. At least it did several months ago before I immediately uninstalled it. If you can live with those hubristic annoyances it's worth a try.

I've been using Desktop Reminder for years now. Does everything I need to be reminded of important dates and things to do. I am using Version 2.0 - turned off updates because this Free version is fine. Has been very handy for many years now!

I tried other FOSS accounting programs and I'm really liking HomeBank. The first thing was to configure a Checking account from the previous month and it was pretty easy. Other softwares did not allow me to enter in month old transactions without a lot of hassel or not at all. You can create your own categories in addition to what is provided. The interface is easy to use and is well laid out. It has bar, circle, and time charts. I check the accounting values with my statements and the math was exact. Even performing a transfer from Saving to Checking check out. This is the most important for any accounting program! Everything else is a bonus. So, I'm pretty happy with HomeBank!

This is a great SQL utility and has been around a long time. It has all the functionality and supports all the latest databases; MariaDB, MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Interbase and Firebird. If you a user of any of these databases then this program can assist in the creation or modification of any SQL database. I've have been using HeidiSQL for years and has proven to be my go to program which is reliable, is being kept up-to-date by the author.

I used to use another program that would follow TV shows for me, but the author abandoned it so I tried DuckieTV. If you want to use Duckie I HIGHLY recommend you set up the optional Track.TV integration. This is where Duckie gets its data from. Log in to Track TV and create a watch list of your favorite shows, and then follow the instructions in DuckieTV to link to Track TV. This makes sure you get the most accurate updates to the Duckie Calendar. A bit of work, but well worth it. Duckie also allows you to create a backup database that can be installed in another copy of DuckieTV on a different computer if you need it for another TV location, or are setting up a new PC. Make sure you set the background images to be a little dark so that you can read the calendar. A little learning curve for all the settings, but well worth it in the end.

Just a note that the is a newer version of this program on their main site 4.0.1.5 (08.02.24). If you have devices on your network that you want to know if they go down or their unable this program is a way to get updates instead of guessing. You have clear indicators if that device (i.e. NAS) is not able to be pinged. The Network Indicator is RED and you can assign Sounds or Show a message. The Pro version is better for business but their free version is great and easy to configure for anyone to use. Enjoy!

Nirsoft's NetworkOpenedFiles is another great tool to help track network related issues and potential bad guys moving files across the network. You can change where files are looked at either from your computer or from the network by pressing F9 for Advanced Options. Pretty awesome!

EditPad Lite is an editor whose main purpose is to replace Windows Notepad, and it does that very well, adding a few extra features. It is free for personal use. If you expect more than that, you are in the wrong place.

I have a fast pc but yowza does this gobble everything up. if you give it a try just know you will have to restart your computer after installing. i gave it high marks simply because i know of no other android emulator out there right now and they asked for feedback of why you decided to un-install it.
