It allows you to replace characters, remove/add numbers, remove/add text, change case, split names, and more. The program provides an instant preview that allows you to check the renaming results without actually changing any of your files. It also checks for naming conflicts caused by the new names and alerts you if any are found. Other features include supports for wildcards and Regular Expression matches, saving of rule sets, sub-directory processing and more. Copyright Snapfiles.com

Trial Limitations: Can be used as free Lite version with a renaming limit of 75 files.

Saved my life and time! 5 stars by Shiks2 Nov 07, 2010
I was trying to write a Matlab program to rename thousands of files in multiple sub-directories. I googled to find an easier way and found this utility. It took me a few seconds to figure out, it's nice that you could see a preview of the changes, giving you a chance to play around with the settings. Once I figured it out, it took seconds! Something that would otherwise have taken me hours to do! Thank you Aaron Stewart! Am not afraid of Monday anymore! :D show Review details
Excellent , but documentation lacking 5 stars by jabberwocky Jun 04, 2010
Excellent piece of software. Only problem is that there is no documentation, so it took about 10 mins to figure out how to use it. Nearly gave up, but kept at it, and glad that I did (I needed to rename 360 files, and it worked perfectly). show Review details
