an improved Start Menu for Windows Start Menu Reviver offers an improved Start Menu for Windows that blends the traditional Start Menu functions with the Windows 8 design concept and provides quick access to all your desktop and Modern GUI (Metro) applications. Clicking on the newly added Start button will open a stylish Start Menu with touch friendly tiles for application shortcuts and quick access buttons to essential Windows features and settings. When you click on the "Apps" shortcut, the Start Menu will extend and display a list of all your programs (similar to the old Start Menu). You can also access any of the Modern GUI apps from the same menu, as well as files in your Documents folder, recently accessed apps or programs in a custom folder. Start Menu Reviver does not bring back the old Start Menu, instead it offers something new - it keeps the concept of the Start Menu alive, while merging it with the new Windows 8/10 environment. I like the traditional start menu a lot more. The new way of doing things in a metro style are still a bit confusing. The start menu revival is a very good idea! show Review details

I do like the different type of interface and it is faster than standard for 7. Easy to navigate and use without worrying about using windows 8 disaster. The only reason i gave it a 4 instead of 5 is because in Windows 7 the cmd does not work right from the menu. If you type in ipconfig, or any command it says unknown. I use the cmd a lot and it's a necessary use in the menu. I did contact them and they are looking into it and seem very friendly. That said, when fixed i'll change my rating.
