It generates a list that shows all the devices found in the specified IP range along with detailed information on what ports and services are available for each (MAC address, HTTP, SMB, FTP, iSCSI, SMTP and SNMP services). You can easily filter the list by port number, machine name or service and also save the results to an XML file. In addition to port scanning, the program comes with a network speed test, a Ping option and a device search feature that lets you find UPnP enabled devices, Bonjour services, routers and other appliances without the need to know the IP address. For a portable scanner this is actually very nice. Very easy to run and understand. Scan ports : enter your ip ranges, choose to scan all or common or just ip. Search devices: easy. Just click. Ping test, speed test "handy", Whois, always handy. Yes there are far more in depth out there but this has plenty as a portable app. You can even save the list, it's basically light, flawless, portable and thorough. Definitely a 5.
