desktop news ticker Tickr is a RSS feed reader that displays a news ticker along the edge of your screen that smoothly scrolls the latest headlines from your favorite RSS feeds. You can hover your mouse over the ticker to pause the scrolling and click on a headline to launch the associated link in your browser. The program is highly customizable and allows you to configure the size and position of the ticker, background color, shadow effects, scroll speed, as well as the way feed items are displayed. Tried Tickr because I like the rolling tape type display. There seems to be a lot of tickers for stocks, but, not so many for news. I found setting up the RSS feeds to be almost impossible. Decided to try Desktop Ticker and found it to be OK. show Review details
