There is no better email client 5 stars by Nicholas Apr 13, 2017 (Read all my 72 reviews)
A few words are enough to recommend Opera's fine and versatile email client. A joy to work with, really. Former users of conventional (oldfashioned) mail programs need a little time to adapt but that will turn out to be more than worthwhile. show Review details
Robust, quality feel, free, a welcome relief. 5 stars by blueroverdotcom698 Sep 17, 2014 (Read all my 2 reviews)
Ok. I'm not a huge email client guy. I do know that I hate OUTLOOK though. I've used WINDOWS LIVE MAIL, POPPEEPER, and eM CLIENT. Pop peeper was cheap and easy, but too antiquated. Live mail felt too bulky. eM client turned out to be a 1 month trial. :- Didn't carte for the THUNDERBIRD interface. So....OPERA.....freaking incredible. Light weight, doesn't feel bulky, you CAN add your own email notification .wav file (I like that), and it handles ALL the major email services (gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc..) It's a very professional, streamlined GUI interface too. Hmmmm.....not much else to say.....it's free, it works incredibly well, and I can tell you for sure that it beats the 'crap' out of a lot of these other clients out there. If you're going strictly by user's feedback responses to try and find an email client that does not suck, then you can rest assured that this is the one......stop looking. However, I'm not running a business with this client so I'm not sure how it will hold up in a business setting?? Seems like it's up to any task. :-) I freakin love it, and it's F R E E! Judging by OPERA MAIL, I kind of wonder if their browser is the same quality experience, but I love my FIREFOX w add-ons (and sometimes CHROME), so I'm not even going to try. :-) Happy receiving and drafting emails without worry! :-D show Review details
Great for casual users 4 stars by realbull2009250 Dec 03, 2013 (Read all my 60 reviews)
Probably the only free email client that can compete with ThunderBird now. Formerly a built-in email client for Opera 12 browser(Presto engine) now it's offered as a separate program. I've been using it for years and rarely encountered problems. It is really easy to set-up; just type-in your email address and password, choose pop or imap mail and it will take care of the rest. It is a really solid email client that does mostly what you would expect it to do, but it lacks in extra features and cannot be expanded with add-ons like T-Bird. My only other complaint is that the spam filter does not work well as and has no options like T-Bird. Superb for casual email client users, but those looking for more may prefer T-Bird. show Review details
Good attempt but 2 stars by PogMoHon Sep 25, 2013 (Read all my 22 reviews)
Opera Mail, installs and reads well, but I have been having trouble with a few things: Export/import of single mails as eml, import/export of vcards of different vcard-version and especially as one file with several data (in UTF8 format e.g. so it confirms better with Android and others), saving/viewing mails from the Sent-folder to a certain label etc... Also had an issue with aliases and with 'double mails' (the same mail you receive twice or trice). The latter can be (un)set in the right top menu somewhere. More specific all-round settingspossibilities would make Opera Mail better. show Review details
Very reliable email client 5 stars by teknacantore774 Jul 21, 2013 (Read all my 2 reviews)
I enjoy very much Opera Mail, now standalone but previously included in the Opera Browser. It's rich of view layouts and custom labels. It gives a good contact manager and can manage feeds and newsgroups. It works in an excellent way with POP and IMAP mail accounts, and it's able to automatically configure. I consider it simply and friendly, better than any other email client. I just point out some limitations encountered: you can't test the connection or authentication for an account. My accounts on Yahoo Mail and AOL Mail didn't work properly. After several attempts to configure them, I gave up on them! show Review details
