Due to connecting problems with SmartFTP, I had to find an other FTP program. Because of big size and positive reviews I decided to give FileZilla a try. I downloaded FilaZilla from his website and it installs and uninstalls easy. I never have had a better FTP program than FileZilla, because it has all the functions you need, is fast and works splendid. Price: Free

It finds and removes a lot of spyware and is easy to install and uninstall. It causes annoying pop-ups, that are not easy to stop, about register changes, when you change a setting of your Windows or install/uninstall a new program. Price: Free

Excellent detection, removing and blocking of viruses. I downloaded AntiVir from their website, because that is with uninstaller. AntiVir makes the internet connection window come up slower and sometimes slows down internet browsing. The updates are often, but takes a lot of time downloading even with the new Beta version. Easy to uninstall via the control panel. I think, that the fact, that ZoneAlarm has earned the Designed for Microsoft Windows XP Logo is fairly overrated. This firewall blocks admittance to too many websites and is therefore complete useless for the normal use of the internet. Price: Free

A valuable tool 5 stars
Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.06 and Spybot-Search&Destroy 1.4 form a great team to fight spyware on your computer. Before these I used Microsoft AntiSpyware, but I was forced to find other, because I don't have English Windows version. Lucky these two find and remove more spyware than MSAS alone. If you don't have Windows XP SP2 (=with ActiveX blocker) you might consider to download SpywareBlaster 3.4. These three (without MSAS) work together excellent without errors, problems or other conflicts and can be uninstalled without rests via control panel if you are not satisfied, which I don't think, because these three are the best free alternative for MSAS. Price: Free
