I like many have had problems with NortonSymantec and I also tried Avast and the one Cox Cable provides. I've been on the AVG bandwagon for a couple of years. Absolutely No Problems whatsoever with it. Price: Free

Pdfill is a good value

I've used other similar prgs to create PDFs. With this one I've had no problems and the free upgrades for life is a big plus. The companion utilities have also come in handy. Price: Free Trial ($19.99)
