Flawed but hopefully will get better soon!

Well, the truth is that there are 4 areas that are lacking. 1. The most annoying is that it, without your permission, will put the programs in the Start menu in the "Startup" menu. 2. It detects wrong versions of programs that are already updated. AVG and Comodo Firewall both were mistakenly identified as being outdated when they were not. 3. The results said it detected 6 updates but only listed 5 of them. Hmm? 4. Finally, the programs doesn't tell from free and paid version upgrades. For example, Ashampoo Photo Commander 4 was detected as being outdated but if you go to try to download the version it is a trial program. Price: Free

Adolix Wallpaper Changer

Good wallpaper changer but not good enough

This did take a few moments to get familiar with. At first I didn't like the fact you had to have your wallpaper in the application subfolder in Program Files (default) but then I realized it was probably a good idea. I don't understand this play list of wallpaper business. I just wanted to open a folder of wallpapers and use them. I don't like the fact you seem to have to restart the program for your changes to take place. Overall a good program that could use some tweaking like subfolders of different themes to ease of use. For now, I will put all the wallpapers I want in one big folder. Also, I encountered an error message upon reboot that makes me rethink about using this piece of software. Price: Free

Superb! does what it should do! :)

The only gripe I see I can complain about is the interface. I think this may be fixed now but sometimes I would not have 3 windows open. Price: Free

Spy Sweeper

Great protection!

The only two things I have gripes about are the price to renew which is regularly the same as the original price but sometimes $20 online and the fact it opens a blank page when scanning. When this first came out it was slow to scan and causes pc crashes but now it seems to not do that. It now also includes rootkit scanning to advanced spyware/adware. Price: Free Trial ($29.95)

IE New Window Maximizer

Reliable and useful

This is a well little program that uses very little system resources. It simply maximizes your browser to avoid you always having to do so; which could be very annoying to view web pages. Nothing really more could be said about this since it performs this simple, yet great task. Price: Free

Awesome software and free too!

Not only does this piece of software work well but it has frequent updates. This software combines two major components into one: registry and internet clutter cleaner. It also has a good uninstaller interface for you to delete entries as well as uninstall programs. Very fast and reliable. Absolutely no crashes or pc woes after use! Updates take forever and crashes

The updates take forever and then the program crashes thus making other programs crash. Description says it lacks real time protection so why does it install in the system tray and take forever to update when you boot up the pc? If this software would be a true stand alone program to compliment other spyware programs I might install it later. Price: Free

Slow startup and pc crashing

I have noticed that when I installed this on my pc the start menu, pc boot time, and IE 6 would start up slowly or have a significant delay. Not only that, the ctrl-alt-del and the program interface would not pop up after installation. Price: Free
