For freeware, this is excellent. Would like to be able to do more from a toolbar than menu, but it definitely gets the job done.

The game is sluggish, and does not let you zoom out so that you can see what you are aiming for. It almost feels like a work in progress. (Editor: Double-clicking anywhere will zoom out.)

Unable to get any map to load closer than the hemisphere. Settings are sparse and not for the average end user, and there does not appear to be any help function or tutorial.

Every video that I have attempted to download comes from Vevo, and is blocked. There are no options interface to search through YouTube, so that makes this little app worthless.
It's a shame, since it had such potential.

Nice display, but there is no option to change the bland white. Also, it is on top of everything on the desktop. This means rearranging gadgets and icons (using on Vista and Win7). Definitely has a little work left to do, but it is a nice start. [Editor: The `on top` behavior can be changed from the settings dialog]

I have been using this for several years. The interface is easy to understand, the program is simple to setup, and my wife (technology challenged) is able to use it with next to no training.
I wish that it was easier to interact with spreadsheets, but, you get what you pay for. Right?

Great program for free, but too many false alarms. My wife`s games were always being quarantined. I guess if you don't pay for the software, they ignore you.

It's small and unobtrusive, can be hidden to the system tray, and even contained my little town in it's city list.
Uses about 20mb of memory when running. That's about average with others that I've used. The one thing I don't like is that there is no option to make the radar image larger, or change it to another type of image for my area.

When selecting a city, you are limited to the city proper. Since most hotels are on the outlying areas of cities, Schmap does not allow you to view those areas. When scrolling west, for example, the map stops scrolling at the city limits.
I don't see the point of installing something that does not perform any better than what is available online already.
If you are going to be in a downtown area of a city, then this is very convenient. The quick descriptions on mouseover are nice, and simple checkboxes for viewing different details in the city
