Save your money there is No need to pay Microsoft, OpenOffice might even be better than MSoffice. Most users don't even know the difference. Missing is Outlook (good riddance!) but Access (a little harder to use) Powerpoint, Word and Excel are all great. And it can write PDF files!
I run OpenOffice and MSOffice side by side and have for years. OpenOffice keeps getting better and the Microsoft's products seems to just get slower odd.
Runs on Linux too, and it is native to Unbuntu Linux.

Don't pass this up a great program, and time saver. This runs as a printer, unlike any other program there really is no interface, just a Bullzip PDF printer.
Note; It requires "Ghostscript" but provides the link for easy download.
What is special is the ability to make any printable item a PDF file.

Dsync is great to do common tasks, however 2 things bother me. First, it by default DELETES files from remote unit, 2nd the sync feature can not work with large locked files (as is with most utilities).
It is useful to transfer files between directories, but I like [...] but, they are not freeware.

I have tried them all in the past 20 years. Avast will work when others won't. The "boot-time" scan can kill an in memory virus. Wow what a great program, they should get an award! It beats all others hands down!

I have used it for years, and would not surf the web without a QUALITY FIREWALL (NOT MICROSOFT'S). But now you have to watch the auto updates and auto installs. Each version seems to be a little worse than the last. It is also very hard to find the "Free" version on their website.
