Spybot SandD is good in a pinch. I had used it for about a year. Recently I ran into some spyware that it could not get rid of. I scanned from the XP OS, from safe mode, even from a boot CD and the virus/spyware continued to infect the machine. I do like the immunization feature and will continue to use that feature. Price: Free
