Collagerator Collagerator

Leave this one alone. 1 stars
Collagerator creates collages based on fixed templates. The only thing the user can do is to move photos within the template. The results are terrible. I wouldn't waste time with Collagerator. If you're serious about creating collages use Picassa. Price: Free

sWeather sWeather

Simple, high-quality little weather program 5 stars
SWeather works without a hitch on my WIN764 system. It give a nice summary which can sit on the desktop and optionally can put weather and temperature icons in the system tray. You can also track as many cities as you'd like. Price: Free

Calme Calme

Simple and quick--but limited 3 stars
Calme allows you to generate calendars and planner pages quickly. The user interface is very simple but doesn't give you many choices about how the final output will look. The calendar templates are all one month to a page and have huge photo areas. I couldn't figure out how to add holidays for 2014. You also can't add any text. As long one of the templates fits your needs you'll get a crisp and professional-looking calendar. Price: Free

Redfield Plugins Redfield Plugins

For the special effects fan 4 stars
The Redfield Plugins are an interesting and well-done set of Photoshop effects. If you like playing around with complex distortions (and don't mind the fussy interface) you can have a lot of fun. Price: Free

Better than Photoshop lighting effects 4 stars
Light Artist is an excellent alternative to the built-in "Filter Render Lighting Effects" in Photoshop. (I am using PS CS3.) Price: Free
