Photoshop masking tool AKVIS SmartMask is a Photoshop compatible plug-in that enables you to easily make complex selections from photos in order to mask out people and objects. You can simply draw a rough outline with the blue pencil inside the objects you want to select, and then use the red pencil to to mark the background area. The program uses these markings to analyze the image and remove the background area. You can further fine-tune the mask to correct fine details, preview the mask on different background and then save it as a new layer in your project. AKVIS SmartMask produces very good results with minimal efforts, it just seems a bit pricy. Copyright Snapfiles.com

Wayyyy overpriced

Not saying that it is not good but there are so many other tools like this available for a mere fraction of what this costs. If you are looking into background removal tools, do your homework first. What they are asking for this is simply highway robbery.

Of all the AKVIS plugins, this is my favorite and one I use the most. For truly great image removal, I do so manually, with a good eye and patience, nothing is as good. HOWEVER, the closest and easiest method I've ever used would be this plugin. You won't find better. For the most part, it's very accurate and has other options to fix up areas manually. Very great plugin, highly recommended.
