Unprecedented performance 4 stars by realbull2009250 Nov 23, 2013 (Read all my 60 reviews)
It is probably the fastest defragmenter I've ever used. It can defragment files of 1000 fragments in under a minute or maybe 30 seconds. Other fragmenters will drag in performance compared to Contig. The command-line interface will steer away some, but you can get the GUI, Power Defragmenter to make things easier. You can defragment individual files, folders and drives. There is a feature called Triple Pass Disk Defragmentation which runs your file(s) three times to make sure it is defragmented. No other features are included, but it may be what one only needs. Watch out! You may fall in love with it and drop your other defragmenter. show Review details
Goes beyond normal defragmenters 5 stars by piteko Jan 28, 2010
Used to compact a 30GB file that other two defragmentation program wouldn't compact and to make another brand new 30GB contiguous file. Works fine (defragmentation passed from 14 to 2 frags), really easy to use even if only has DOS command line. NOTE: to make a brand new file, you have to specify the file size in bites, not KB or whatsoever (the help doesn't specify it). show Review details
Excellent! 5 stars by bladedone May 27, 2006
I have used this software for over a year in conjunction with power defrag and i am very impressed with the results. I have tried many other defrag programs. for the small imprint and ease of use it rocks. just set it and forget it. show Review details
