reads disk S.M.A.R.T attributes DiskCheckup reads the S.M.A.R.T attributes of your hard drive and displays the current values in a report. It can also track changes over time and calculate a T.E.C (Threshold Exceeded Condition) date that may predict drive failure in the future. The program can optionally notify you by email when the threshold is exceeded. Unfortunately, DiskCheckup does not start automatically and cannot run in the system tray, which makes long-term monitoring very inconvenient (unless you want to keep it running in your taskbar at all times). SMART is a long term test and I didn't want another process running. I used the command line option CHECKTEC and run a batch file CheckTEC.bat ("C:Program FilesDiskCheckupDiskCheckup.exe" CHECKTEC) once a day. In a couple of years I should see how the drives, including large SATA drives, are doing. show Review details

A way very easy and free to read SMART data. no more, but good! But I hope in more features (free or not) in the future, like autostart, detailed logs and more show Review details
