In addition to the standard file management options (drag-n drop, copy, move etc.), it offers several advanced features. The advanced features include a multi-rename tool, directory comparison, full-text search, customizable fonts and colors, hot key shortcuts, custom toolbars, file/folder ignore lists, integrate archive support, file operations logging, and more. I've been looking for a good file manager and have tried quite a few: FreeCommander XE, MultiCommander, NexusFile5, xplorer2 as a successor or 2xExplorer. Nexus was awsome, but it does not have file search. FreeCommander and MultiCommander have all the features, but ... not intuitive. This one has the features and manages to stay easy to use. This Double Pane filemanager provides me with all the functionallities I need for my daily file management needs. In the past I had to obtain many functions from several file managers. Double Commander provides me also with the possibility to copy the folder contents to the clipboard and from there paste it to my wordprocessor. Good work! Definitely has a lot of options easy to use but I'm still not convinced it stacks up to others yet will use it a while longer but all in all, it's still a 5 and you won't be disappointed in any case. I do like the comparison feature of directories that's a plus, and it copies files over very quickly. show Review details
