hot swap SATA and eSATA devices HotSwap! enables you to hot swap SATA/eSATA devices much like USB/IEEE1394 drives. The program makes sure that the drive you want to swap is not in use and spins down the drive so it can be safely removed. HotSwap! works similar to the "Safely Remove Hardware" feature and adds a new icon to the system tray that lets you choose the drive you want to swap. HotSwap! has been tested with a variety of common adapters, including Silicon Image SATA Host Controller (SiI3112A, SiI3114, SiI3132, etc.), Silicon Image SATA-PATA (Parallel ATA) Bridge Controller (SiI3611) and SATA Host Controllers (AHCI mode enabled in BIOS) (e.g. Intel Controller Hub (ICH), JMicron JMB363).
