temporarily disable your Internet connection InternetOff is a simple program that allows you to turn off your Internet connection with a click of a button from the system tray. This can be useful if you don't want to be disturbed by incoming emails, social updates and other online services. To turn your Internet connection back on, simple click the tray icon. You can choose to simply turn your connection back on or limit it to 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. In order to "turn off" your Internet connection, the program simply disables your current network adapter (Local Area Connection), which effectively disables the Internet. Unfortunately, this approach also disables all local network connections, so if your computer is on a home or office network, you will use all connectivity. InternetOff is mostly useful to those who don't know how to disable/enable a network adapter, or are looking for a convenient way to do it from the system tray. Copyright Snapfiles.com

Easy internet killswitch! 5 stars by Solfire Apr 25, 2015 (Read all my 9 reviews)
It's simple and works. That is really all that needs to be said. Often with the complexity of modern firewalls it can be a bit of a pain to stop some programs from being 100 cut off from the internet. The simplest solution is to have a network adapter killswitch, which is exactly what this is :D No frills and kicks derriere every time :) show Review details
Decent 4 stars by gimpguy Nov 25, 2013 (Read all my 1159 reviews)
First off , it does disable the internet. I tested a few things before posting review. 1. Will not allow you to enable your adapter by going into "change adapter settings" a plus. 2. Password works, even upon reboot, does not allow your connection to be turned on. Another plus. 3. Timer works fine. Some things that would improve this are a hot key combination, log file from attempts to turn on internet, and perhaps a float dot red or green showing status if turned on or off on desktop just for quick viewing sake. Other than that, for people like me who test and use all sorts of software, I disable my connection quite often so this is very handy. show Review details
Very simple and does the job well. 5 stars by cronus0856294 Mar 21, 2013 (Read all my 2 reviews)
I like this little program very much. Once installed you'll have an icon on the taskbar that when clicked will give you options of how long you want to "Turn the internet on" (you can set it to display the amount of time left if you've chosen a specific amount of time), if the "Internet is on", you have the option to "Turn off the internet". Very simple and easy. And you can also protect the settings with a password. show Review details
