If a network resource becomes unavailable, you can be notified by email, network message, instant messenger, SMS or program execution. The program provides standard Windows GUI as well as a password protected browser based interface to access the monitoring status and online reports from anywhere on the network. Other features include performance graphs, support for dependencies, long term statistics storage, automatic email reporting and more. IPHost Network Monitor also offers support for Remote Network Agents (at an additional charge), which allows monitoring of multiple networks from one installation of the software. I like its stability 4 stars by DarrinSingleton Jul 16, 2015 (Read all my 5 reviews)
Primary reason why I use this monitoring program is stability. I can leave it without checking for weeks and find it still working, without anything to take immediate care of. Except for alerts, of course, when it informs me of something wrong with my network. I haven't yet tested the latest version yet, since I do not upgrade a program just because there's an update. My experience taught me to upgrade when there's extremely serious reason to, such as security or stability issues. Note that it also has a freeware version, so you can test it without much problems. Apart from some monitors type not present in program, I had just few problems with it. Also, it goes pretty well with all the security software I use (doesn't generate false security alerts). show Review details
Allows mostly unattended use 4 stars by MichealGilbert Jul 07, 2015 (Read all my 3 reviews)
Our specifics require monitoring a lot of Web apps. I have tried several monitoring tools, none of them do what we need out of the box, so some scripting is always required. IPHost is good in terms of cost-performance. I occasionally contacted its support, so can't rate it. Software wasn't hard to understand anyway. Currently it mostly runs unattended, requires little or no maintenance. Only when we had OS crashes, there were minor problems with most software installed, including this one. I would rate it higher if it had interface in my native language. Perhaps it will. Apart from that, it works well. show Review details
