dual pane file manager Pablo Commander is a Norton Commander clone, that offers a side-by-side Explorer view. It enables you to compare the contents of two folders, drag and drop files across panes, filter the display, display the content of an FTP site and more. The program is lightweight and does not easy to use, as it uses an interface that is very similar to Windows Explorer, and also integrates the Explorer right click menu. Copyright Snapfiles.com

Awkward 2 stars by MrJaw69 Oct 22, 2013 (Read all my 34 reviews)
The problem with Pablo Commander is that it's hard to maneuver in. I expected that there would be an intuitive way to copy directories between panels, or to open the contents of a directory in the other panel, for instance. Commander-type software are meant to transcend the meager file managing abilities of the operating system, but when I tried to use PC, I felt as stymied as I did in the Windows environment. There's potential here, and I like that it's small and portable, but I feel as though I'm working for the software rather than the other way around. show Review details

Since Windows 7 has done away with that handy green 'Up One Level' button I have been looking for a replacement for Windows Explorer... I've found it... and there IS an 'Up One Level' button! show Review details

This is simply great! A lot like WinMerge but with a different purpose. No more opening numerous windows, etc... everything is right here. Just what the doctor ordered! show Review details
