image editing and retouching Photo Toolbox includes several photo editing tools that let you to edit, retouch and repair your images. The program supports a variety of common image formats and includes all the standard features such as Undo/Redo, color adjustments, curve adjustments, flip/rotate etc. as well as standard selection and editing tools. Photo Toolbox also includes a handy spot remover that works well to remove small imperfections from your photos. Other features include image sharpening (standard or USM), black and white conversion, several image effects, image resizing and other (mostly standard) features. The program offers a good set of basic photo editing tools, however, considering the price and the fact that many freeware editors offer more features, Photo Toolbox failed to impress us. I was truly expecting at very least a mediocre software, this went far lower. 1. The very few effects and filters there are, are no better than software from 98. The blemish tool? A blemish unto itself. All it does is take similar color areas and creates a circle like someone hit it with a clone tool. On the bright side, they do get an excellent leprosy effect. 2. There are too numerous of freeware and paid for image enhancers out there that do so much more, and so much better that I can't believe there is a price on this software. Some things like the "level" filter seemed to be taken right from Gimp or Photoshop only, it doesn't do such a good job. I don't usually feel like I've absolutely wasted my time trying out a software, this... well... let's make an exception. show Review details

The features are OK. It includes the basic retouching and editing tools but nothing that I would consider paying for. The blemish remover tool works well but this is also available as a free spin-off from the same developer. show Review details
