Firemin Firemin

It really works! 5 stars
The high memory consumption of Firefox has always been a royal pain, especially if you keep several tabs open for days without restarting the browser. If have used Firemin for several weeks now and Firefox never uses more than 5mb of RAM (usually less) - and it used to gobble up 500mb easily! Freeing the unused memory does not seem to have any impact on Firefox performance whatsoever. Price: Free

BDlot DVD ISO Master BDlot DVD ISO Master

Works well for backing up purchased DVDs 4 stars
It copies commercial DVDs that are copy protected. Took about 15 minutes to copy a 90min DVD. Works well for backing up as ISO files to your computer. If you want to burn a DVD copy, you'll need a dual layer burner since most modern DVDs won't fit on a single layer DVD. Price: Free

Geek Uninstaller Geek Uninstaller

Hits the spot 4 stars
This program does not offer as many features as other uninstallers, BUT it offers the most important things with a compact, no frills interface. The scan for leftovers is quick, automatic and accurate. I would like to see an option to filter out MS updates, something that most other uninstallers offer and that makes the list a little less cluttered. Price: Free

Photo Toolbox Photo Toolbox

Not worth the money 2 stars
The features are OK. It includes the basic retouching and editing tools but nothing that I would consider paying for. The blemish remover tool works well but this is also available as a free spin-off from the same developer. Price: Free Trial ($29.90)
