Monitor Computer Networks PingView is a simple network monitor that can monitor your local network and Internet connection. After running an initial wizard, it creates a visual tree of important network components. You can then set it to periodically check that all your important network devices are on-line and accessible. After a pre-defined number of failures you can be alerted via message sound or script execution. PingView segregates targets into vital and non-vital (default) allowing you to customize the monitoring by marking important nodes as "vital", which will cause immediate report actions if they become unavailable. There is also an option to add comments for repair actions to each item's properties, allowing you to keep notes for device specific troubleshooting easily accessible.
