tweak the Windows 7 taskbar 7+ Taskbar Tweaker is a small tool you can use to tweak the Windows 7 taskbar behavior. Among other things, you can define how applications are grouped, customize left click actions, disable thumbnail previews, set a double-click action for empty space on the taskbar (e.g. Show desktop) and force the combining of grouped items. The program also includes a Taskbar Inspector, a small tool that lets you manage all your current taskbar items. Please note: Due to it's behavior, some anti-virus programs will alert you of a potential threat! Copyright Snapfiles.com

Good stuff 5 stars by NesteaZen Mar 08, 2021 (Read all my 2 reviews)
Does what tasix did: "Taskix is a shareware program designed for users who often work on their PC with multiple windows open at one time. It is generally used to reorder tabs on your taskbar with a simple drag-and-drop. It is a very useful windows customization utility and can also close tabs with a middle-click." show Review details
Does what it says, but not very useful 3 stars by Harlan Apr 06, 2013 (Read all my 69 reviews)
Installed easily and then worked fine for me on Win7 Pro 64 bit. Options settings are a bit confusing, and help is not very helpful. I used it for a few days and then deleted it. I didn't find it did much that standard Windows 7 didn't do already, and the features it added to the toolbar weren't of much interest to me. show Review details
Worked somewhat 3 stars by gimpguy Sep 14, 2011 (Read all my 1159 reviews)
Install went ok, simple interface, free. Problems that occurred, forced double click even when not selected, would not group or ungroup. I went through the settings numerous times, read up, restarted PC just to be sure it wasn't a newbie boo-boo, unfortunately, it wasn't. The few things that did work OK were getting rid of the space between the icons, which I liked, open from drag n drop, and middle click. All in all it was a bit buggy for me, maybe I'll try it later on after some updates etc... either way, it didn't wow me (even if everything did work). It is handy and I'm sure it will give others some joy if it works, just didn't work well for me. show Review details
