advanced task scheduling engine VisualCron is an advanced task scheduler that allows scheduling of task based on user defined triggers and events. You can create simple task that launch a specified program at a certain time of day, or complex tasks that are triggered by system events like file changes, event log entries, registry changes, services, processes and even custom WMI scripts. The available task options include file executions, SQL queries, HTTP commands (POST/GET), various types of notification and more. You can combine multiple tasks and events, specify time exceptions, and select to be notified via email, syslog, SQL query, popup window, sound and more. Our company needed a way to initiate events not only based on what time of day it was but also at specific intervals. We purchased VisualCron and have found many more uses than that. We use it now to initiate backups, check server status, and run scripts. I have found it to be extremely robust, and I like that it is a server/client program. Meaning I installed it on our server but I can control it remotely from a client program on my desktop. Would recommend it to anyone who needs a advanced scheduling service. show Review details
