While I don't feel it's up there with Winstars, it's definitely a must have freebie if you like the solar system. The graphics are decent, 3-D rotation, go to a planet or other object, very easy. You can record a movie, take a screen capture, set star numbers, resolution, split window, the list goes on. Regardless if there are better or not, this is very fast and not tough on resources and just plain fun to use. Definitely a 5. Just for the record on side by side errors, others should try and get the latest MS VC++ download and install, this would likely fix it. show Review details

Using Vista Home and the latest Celestia(1.60), I couldn't get it to run and kept getting a "side by side comparison check failed" message. Although Celestia 1.5.1 has worked fine since installation about a year ago. Either way, I'd recommend it for everyone interested in the universe. show Review details
