After comparing 5 other packages, this wins

Reasons for my comments: 1) Starts and finishes without any pop ups 2) Includes versioning option 3) Configuration has flexible options Would like to see in future versions: 1) Option to select multiple folders at once and apply initial setup to all of them in one action 2) Would like the option to EXCLUDE certain file types 3) After having problems with the Schedule not starting I found out I had to run as Admin... Other packages I tried didn't fuss about it and used this by default 4) The previous package I tried was offered for "Free" but after about a week started prompting me to pay, this is NOT nice. I believe that people will in most cases donate if they like it, don't force them to buy it... Thanks G.J for a nice package. I am running a computer class for seniors and am going to recommend it to the students.

Very good light-weight file backupsync

Very reliable, reasonably fast, reasonably simple for most tasks. I have used this for a year for on-demand backups to cloud storage and never had a problem. One needed improvement: says it will "attempt" to copy open files, but it never has succeeded for me (Win 7 Pro x64).

Has plenty of options at the same time, likely enough for most and the interface was very easy to use and understand. Did a great back up job with no problem, very nice.

Just a few words suffice to recommend this little gem of software: synchronizing, backing up en copying files from one folder to another (on external HD or NAS) was never so simple, adequate and straightforward.

Rarely have I come across a piece of software,either free or shareware,that is so logically thought out and just so pleasant to use. Setup is simple and all functions are powerful and robust, with very fast synchronizations and perfect accuracy. All sorts of thoughtful details are provided to assist and the whole package is quite surprising for being so comprehensive in view of its small size. For my purpose of backing up and restoring files and data, I use the backup functions. To restore, make reverse restore rules to the corresponding backup rules and activate or deactivate as required. Probably the best of its type I have used so far-grab it-a must try!!
