FreeMind FreeMind

Freemind is worth a look 5 stars
It took me about twenty minutes of tinkering with the concept of making "Mindmaps" before I was sold on the idea. FreeMind allows to to map your thoughts in a way reminiscent of doing outlines but with tons of tools to organize and visualize your ideas. I'm sold on it and have already used it to organize a job search and write an article! Price: Free

Time and Chaos Time and Chaos

Time and chaos is the best pim i've seen! 5 stars
I started using Time and Chaos v 4.95 way back in 1994 and it continues to be far and away the very best Shareware PIM on the market. The screen puts "everything" on display without having to change page views. I have over 5000 contacts in my address book and everything (Todo's, Appts, Contacts) can be cross linked. Once you set it up, and get used to using the bells and whistles, you'll never look back. Personally, I couldn't imagine NOT having TandC! Price: Free Trial ($49.95)

EssentialPIM Pro EssentialPIM Pro

Essential pim just keeps getting better! 5 stars
I'm happy to report that with each update EssentialPIM becomes a more sophisticated program worthy of being your primary PIM. The program runs faster now even with more than 5000 contacts in the address book! While I still use Time and Chaos as my primary Personal Information management program, I "shadow" it with Essential PIM because it can run independently on a USB Flash drive. Very nice!
