A robust and very capable editor that should suit anyone who values substance over style - especially anyone who is dismayed by those programs that conceal their essential features behind horribly unintuitive interfaces. HTMLPad is visually attractive and easy to use. While it is particularly suitable for the neophyte coder, it is by no means lacking in the necessary bells and whistles. In short, this is a very solid program that one will not outgrow.

Small and neat, and it keeps all of its data inside its own directory. This elegant little program has all the features that you need, and none of the rubbish that you do not.

There are many, many graphics viewers and converters. Some do certain things better than Irfanview, as well as certain things that Irfanview can not do at all. However, this being said, those programs that are noticeably better than Irfanview tend to be very much larger, and do not offer such all-round ease of use.

I have used a variety of password managers; this is certainly the best. It is neither complex nor intrusive, and is small enough to fit easily on to even the least capacious USB drive. Probably the most surprising thing about it is that it is free.

Have never used any of the paid services on offer, but for talking to other Skype users this is great. Very easy to install and configure, and no problems in use.
