Best free firewall around at the moment

This is a 1st class free firewall. At one time there was another I would have rated higher, but that has gone downhill, so if you want safety on line for free, this is the best! Only item I have marked "Very Good" rather than "Excellent" (Which I have put on all the rest) is "Ease of use", as you do need to get used to it. But it is well worth the effort. Price: Free

Avira Free Antivirus

Not as good as it should be!

Does what it should but vastly annoying very slow updates. Also a pain that it stops scanning if you are not at the computer to tell it what to do. It would be far better to finish the scan first. I could not see a way to set up auto updates or scans. Unless I missed something this is another area for improvement. Price: Free
