Maybe a little harder to learn than Paint Shop Pro or even Photoshop. Gimp is a very powerful graphics/photo editing program for FREE. And because it is ported over and to other operating systems it has great support and upgrade value. Plenty of learning web sites maybe as many as Photoshop. It is really worth learning this program because that is all it cost you! Price: Free

I am a Fan of AVG from Grisoft and use AVG on my Linux desktop as well as my Windows laptop. But I have Windows 2000 Server at home that I use as a file and print server which AVG will NOT run on any server without costly license. Rising seemed to be the closest thing to AVG. Only time will tell if it is as good or better, but so far so good! Price: Free

Does not do a whole lot, but what it does do "it is real good at"! If you get a corrupted update from Adobe and can NOT reinstall, update, or upgrade your Adobe Reader then this should fix it after you delete the adobe folder, then install the latest version. Price: Free
