Version 6 is not as good as v5 3 stars
I tried upgrading from V5.8 to V6.0, didn't like it, and so have reinstalled V5.8 again. I use Eraser only from the context menu add-on, and found the changes in V6 annoying, such as an icon in the tray (notification area) that was no use to me at all. I couldn't find any option in V6 to get rid of it. Changes to the context menu add-on also didn't make V6 any easier to use. Price: Free

Essential for registry tweaking 5 stars
I've been using versions of RegScanner since my Win98 days. They've all been tiny and fast. To find all the occurrences of a particular string takes this program less time than RegEdit takes to find a single occurrence - or so it seems! It can take you direct to an occurrence's location in the registry tree - no need to work your way down a level at a time, as you'd have to in RegEdit. Price: Free
