registry search tool RegScanner enables you to full-text search your registry for specific keywords contained in registry keys and/or values. You can set advanced search options to narrow down the results, restrict the overall number of results and limit the search to specific areas of the registry. The results can be exported to .reg file or HTML report, and double-clicking on an entry will open Regedit with the selected key.RegScanner can also be used to quickly jump to a specific registry key by copying it to the clipboard and using the "Open Clipboard Text in RegEdit" feature. This is an excellent tool. It improves on the built-in Registry Editor in just about every way possible (nothing can make the registry easy to work with or understand). It still works perfectly in Windows 10. Instead of downloading this, however, you should get the entire Nirsoft Utilities package, which has dozens of other handy, reliable, lightweight tools for viewing and managing all sorts of system data and activities, combined into a portable, easy-to-install and -use package which receives small improvements nearly every week. show Review details

I've been using versions of RegScanner since my Win98 days. They've all been tiny and fast. To find all the occurrences of a particular string takes this program less time than RegEdit takes to find a single occurrence - or so it seems! It can take you direct to an occurrence's location in the registry tree - no need to work your way down a level at a time, as you'd have to in RegEdit. show Review details
