Does just what it says--and simply 5 stars
Nice little app. It is extremely small and simple. My son did a huge batch of photos by selecting them all, dragging them onto the resizer, then sitting back and watching it go. Sure beats opening each one up in "paint" any day--especially if you have more than one or two photos to convert to the same size. It is nice that it leaves the original file untouched and renames the copy with an extension of the new width. (For example, the copy of photo.jpg might be photo650.jpg.) We have been using this a while now (and fairly often, to get pics ready for the web) and have not had a single problem. If a simple resizer is what you are looking for, here you go! Price: Free

Cool and handy 4 stars
I really like the Talking desktop clock. You have to make sure at installation that, if you want all the features, you choose the custom installation and check all the things you want. It will download some more things at that point. It is just a little bit confusing to set up (at least, it was for me) but the options are a lot of fun, and the clock works great. I set up hourly chimes and let the bird come tell me the hour when it's almost time to get off work. :) The reason I wanted the desktop clock in the first place was so that I could see the time and date at a glance rather than constantly messing with the itty-bitty clock in my start-bar. It is perfect for that. I give it 4 stars for "features" because it would be nice to have some sort of alarm function, but no big deal. All in all, it is a very nice little program with lots of fun options, and I would recommend it to others. (Most of my family has since downloaded it to their computers, too!) Price: Free

I have only been using the program for a couple days, but I am greatly enjoying it. It is laid out in a very attractive and user-friendly way. It is very easy to create and organize tasks and simple memos, whether you prefer buttons (like I do) or menus. The lists and sub-lists feature helps break down tasks into manageable chunks and smaller tasks. The notes are easily read with the "overall picture" (ie, the list of tasks) still in view. It is very easy to move tasks and folders with drag-and-drop if you need to. Plus the ability to choose different icons for your various folders makes it even easier to find lists at a glance. Once you open a list, your tasks are already arranged according to the priorities you have previously chosen for them--very cool. I have not tried the reminder feature yet, but I appreciate the option to load Task List Guru on start-up. I am definitely satisfied. Price: Free

Awesome interactive toy! 5 stars
This game is a lot of fun for nearly all ages. You can just "mess around" and play with stuff, or you can get creative and set up intricate domino-effect type arrangements. Very easy to use and intuitive. The one downfall is the file size--but the program is large because it is awesome! Might freeze a slower computer if you get too carried away with all the goodies, though. If you're looking for something for fun, Souptoys is worth a try! Price: Free

Easy to use--does the job! 4 stars
I am not real "technical", but the Any Video Converter did the job we needed it to do with no problems. This is the second video converter we have ever tried. The look of the program could be more attractive, but it works well. We used it to convert a MOV file to WMV. The video quality and sound were retained. It does not add an automatic watermark like some converters do. We have not tried any of the extra features, but I would recommend the program for basic conversion of videos at the very least. Price: Free
