simple photo resizer Picture Resizer is an image resizing tool, which strongest aspect is the simplicity of it`s use. The program comes as standalone EXE file, that you can place anywhere, and simply drag and drop an image or folder with images onto the application icon to create resized copied of the originals. It only offers a few additional options (sharpening, target size), but uses a quality resizing algorithm that produces good results, suitable for emailing or online publishing. The size of the output pictures is controlled by the name of the application, and uses a width of 400 pixels by default. To generate 800 pixels images, you can simply rename the file to to PhotoResize800.exe, or create multiple copies, each for different sizing purposes. Picture Resizer is especially useful for non-technical users, that are looking for a simple way to resize images to a certain size. Copyright Snapfiles.com

Does just what it says--and simply 5 stars by on-a-hill Oct 31, 2011 (Read all my 5 reviews)
Nice little app. It is extremely small and simple. My son did a huge batch of photos by selecting them all, dragging them onto the resizer, then sitting back and watching it go. Sure beats opening each one up in "paint" any day--especially if you have more than one or two photos to convert to the same size. It is nice that it leaves the original file untouched and renames the copy with an extension of the new width. (For example, the copy of photo.jpg might be photo650.jpg.) We have been using this a while now (and fairly often, to get pics ready for the web) and have not had a single problem. If a simple resizer is what you are looking for, here you go! show Review details
So simple! 5 stars by ExeterMan Aug 16, 2006 (Read all my 3 reviews)
This is just so simple to use, it's unbelievable. If you send images by email, then you simply must have this on your desktop. It initially downloads as PhotoResizer640 but you can put different values at the end to define the maximum size. I've renamed mine as PhotoResizer800 which for my purposes gives good quality images and a small size. To use it you just drag your image onto the icon to get a smaller, renamed copy in the same folder. The only problem I've found is I get a warning about it not having a 'valid digital signature' when I use it with Windows XP. show Review details
