This is an excellent player, well worth your time. Plays everything very nicely. In regard to DVDs, I found an extra added bonus - when a DVD loads, VLC Media Player skips the ads and goes directly to the menu. Price: Free

DVDs don't always play right with this player. Sometimes it can be a challenge to select and play chapters. Sometimes I've even had Media Player Classic suddenly speed up or slow down a DVD. Price: Free
