access CMD from any folder BackgroundCMD is a command prompt shell extension that enables you to launch a command prompt from within any folder you are currently browsing. The program is similar to the Microsoft Powertoy `Open Command Window Here`, the difference however is that it allows you to access the CMD from the folder you are currently browsing and does not require you to right-click on the actual folder icon, which often requires you to leave the current directory. BackgroundCMD eliminates this extra step and provides direct access to the command prompt from the Explorer right-click menu. Copyright Snapfiles.com

Excellent add-on 5 stars by busybusy Aug 13, 2014 (Read all my 261 reviews)
The program installs seemlessly and is amazingly useful. It is hard to believe that Windows did not have this built in already but whatever. I just wanted to thank Neer Roggel for making this cool tool available. Two-Thumbs Up!! show Review details
Perfect 5 stars by paxdomine Dec 22, 2008 (Read all my 3 reviews)
This program does exactly what it advertises it does. All other similar apps required that you click on a folder name (forcing you to move up one directory level) - which limited the effectiveness of these extensions. Installation was quick and includes a readme file plus an uninstall routine (which also appears in the ControlPanel - Add/Remove section). After installation, you'll immediately see the new MenuItem (reboot not required). Testing and working perfectly on XP Pro. show Review details
