Knowing whats accessing your hdd 5 stars by busybusy Apr 10, 2021 (Read all my 257 reviews)
It funny that you can see Windows just sitting there and the hard drive is just blinking away, you ask "What the heck is it doing?". We'll DiskPulse is the answer to the question, at least it was for me. Using the program I was able to determine what programs are running, the files they were opening and much more. This helped me determine if a program was necessary to be running in the tray or as a service. Most of the processes were for logging purposes I found but found some programs really poorly written abusing that privilege. Overall a great utility to help diagnose those nagging questions of why is that hard drive light going crazy when nothing seems to be happening! ;) show Review details
Not bad 3 stars by gimpguy Sep 25, 2011 (Read all my 1159 reviews)
I was reluctant to try this software after their Sync software, however, this was fairly decent with basic options in the free version. Did a good job at monitoring temp files and hard drive activity with option for multiple drive monitoring. There are layout options and option to print reports, pie charts, etc... Didn't take up a lot of resources either. Of course for SQL option, it's 75 bucks and for other options, yes, it's pay for, however, for a fairly decent amount of monitoring options, the free version isn't too bad. show Review details
