filter unsafe or undesirable web sites DNS Angel enables you to automatically block web content that is not considered family friendly or safe for kids with the click of a button. The program achieves this by switching your DNS servers to one of 3 family-safe DNS services (OpenDNS, Norton ConnectSafe, MetaCert) that automatically filter unsafe or undesirable web sites. Using a family friendly DNS service is one of the most effective ways to filter Internet content since it requires no maintenance on your end and works with all browsers and Internet enabled applications. Unfortunately, changing the DNS servers can be a little intimidating for many users. That's where DNS Angel comes into play. All you need to do is click a button and your network settings will be automatically configured to use the DNS service of your choice. If you want to disable filtering, simply click another button to restore your default settings. Tip: If you choose to use OpenDNS, you can optionally create a free account (opendns.com) and get access to an online control panel that allows you to fine-tune the filter settings, set exclusions and more.
