download manager and video downloader EagleGet is a download manager that you can use to speed up and manage all your file and media downloads. In addition to downloading standard programs and files, Eagle Get offers integrated browser support for downloading videos from many popular video sites, including Vimeo and many others. EagleGet also comes with an integrated Video Sniffer that can find videos based on a keyword search and allows you to quickly download them. Unfortunately, we found the Video Sniffer to be rather buggy and in most cases it downloaded an HTML page instead of the video file. The program can automatically sort your downloads into predefined categories (Software, Media, Documents, Compressed), alas you cannot edit the rules for these categories and the sorting did not always work as expected. Other features include support for batch downloads, download scheduling, automatic sorting into custom categories, clipboard monitoring, checksum validation, and more. Copyright Snapfiles.com

Thank you so much for including this program on your site! EagleGet is a great piece of software. It is NOT as powerful as Internet Download Manager but it still is an EXCELLENT alternative. All my downloads using EagleGet work without corruption and it is VERY FAST! It does not appear to automatically sort downloads by type but this is a minor inconvenience. My preferred download manager was DAP until version 10. Then it got me disappointed simply because it crashes a lot... After my nightmare with DAP, I have used many download managers just looking for "the perfect replacement". I think EagleGet is the one. EagleGet is beautiful, have a simple modern interface, it does not change your home page or search providers, it does not install a toolbar, the installer never crashes or gets in an annoying loop, the program does not crashes for any insignificant reason, it is stable, it does not slow down my system and it looks promising, and the best of all "IT IS REALLY FREE". It has and does almost anything that DAP does, at least the most significant features. I have not used their tech support yet, so I have not idea how nice it could be. Version 1.1.2.0 is the first version that I use and I have not being in the need to remove it because it does not disappoint. Is supports all my browsers. It works nicely with Windows 8.1 Pro 64. I can only assume that some of the bugs have been worked out now so I gave it another go and ready to rate it. First off, it's very easy to use, non intrusive, clean interface and picked up everything "correctly" this time, video files included. It's easy enough to configure where your downloads go and of course resume support is a big plus. It's not overblown with options that most would just scratch their head at, it's enough for more advanced users and basic downloaders alike while performing great. I don't see any torrent support which my other popular free downloader has but at the same time, I think I'm ready to switch to EagleGet permanently, as a matter of fact, I have.
