Let's talk editing 5 stars by gimpguy Aug 15, 2012 (Read all my 1159 reviews)
This truly is an excellent image editor. Free? You bet and that's not even the best part in this case. The distortions work excellently, the touch up filters graciously, and color separation when editing wonderfully. One of the best free editors I've seen in a long time, hats off to the creators, I would rate this a 10 if I could. show Review details
Essential for RAW shooters 5 stars by scooby Jun 11, 2010
This is a fabulous software that suffers from poor marketing. This program is a very capable RAW converter that can do all necessary image corrections, and includes an EXCELLENT noise reduction filter, equal to commercial software like NeatImage or Noise Ninja. It is NOT a Photoshop clone, and doesn't need to be. It's far more similar to Lightroom or Bibble, in that it opens multiple RAW formats (I personally own Sony and Pentax DSLRs, and it opens them both just fine). The image processing is lossless, and you retain the original RAW file untouched. It can both use 8bf filters, and itself be used as a Photoshop filter for noise reduction. Great for anyone who shoots RAW format, especially if you own more than 1 brand of camera. For free, it's a no-brainer! show Review details
