time management software ManicTime (Free Version) enables you to track computer usage and allows you to review which applications you have used on a certain day and for how long you were active on the computer. The program provides a color coded timeline that indicates activity for the selected day as well as a more detailed report for the individual applications that were used. You also have the option to tag certain activities with custom keywords such as web browsing, word processing etc. allowing you to quickly analyze how much time you spent on certain activities. In addition to daily reports the program can also generate simple statistics that show you how long you were active on your computer over a selected period of time. An optional Pro version is available for purchase - 15 day trial of the Pro features comes included with the free version. Copyright Snapfiles.com

The program has several interesting features for the correct evaluation of computer use. The automated way is a crucial point. It is a useful and well-designed program. The only drawback is the high price of the paid version. show Review details

This software is elegant and easy to use. It gets the job done ... it seems like it still has a ways to mature--for example, the simplified interface is appreciated, but errs a bit on the side of being too simple. I would appreciate easier "off the record" options, being able to exclude certain apps or activities from tracking. The only flaw of the software is the inability to easily delete old tracking data. Impressive for v.1.x software! Although I don't need the extra features available in the paid version, I will be buying a license to help further the development of this valuable tool. show Review details
