create GIF animations from video frames QGifer is an open-source application that enables you to extract a scene from a video file and save it as animated GIF image. After you load your video file, you can use the built-in player to select the start/end frames of your animation. You can also change the output size and color palette settings and optionally apply several basic color filters. There is also an option to add a text or image overlay (e.g watermark text or logo). Once you're done, simply click on the "Extract GIF' button to preview and save your animation as GIF file. GIF animations can become very large in size (multiple megabytes), you should limit your frame extraction to as few frames as possible. QGifer offers integrated GIF optimization (requires ImageMagick) as well as an option to skip a number of frames, which will make the animation play less smoothly but can drastically reduce the file size. To reduce the file size of your animated GIF, QGifer supports GIF optimization with the help of ImageMagick (free). Copyright Snapfiles.com
