capture screen action as GIF animation ScreenToGif is a small, portable program that enables you to record anything on your screen and save it as GIF animation. You can freely move the capture frame to record video on a web page or screen activity on your desktop. The capture can be paused and resumed and once you finish recording, the program brings up a simple editor that lets you preview the recording and delete any unnecessary frames. Since ScreenToGif does not include any GIF optimization features, the resulting GIF files will be rather large. You can use a free GIF Optimizer to reduce the file size of your animation. The good.. It's free, small, portable will capture to gif. The bad... The capture only lasts a few seconds and shuts off. Enlarging it beyond very basic dimensions to a larger scale will cause a Net framework memory crash. Cannot interact with capture source behind the capture window. Capture times are very limited to seconds of capture capability unless you keep hitting the record button which in turn seems to get rid of anything that wasn't saved previously. So in general, If you want a very small quick gif capture, it'll work but it seriously lacks in many areas. show Review details
