RAW image processor RawTherapee is a RAW image processor that can develop RAW formats from most digital cameras and DSLRs. It offers advanced controls for exposure and color adjustments, sharpening, denoising, color management, white balance, color channels, and much more. The program also supports cropping and resizing as well as corrections for vignetting, distortions and perspective. RawTherapee keeps track of all your editing actions and allows you to switch back and forth between different versions of the image. You can save your adjustment settings as profiles and quickly apply them to similar images. Other features include customizable interface layouts and full-screen mode, multiple denoising methods, dual monitor support, batch processing, support for color profiles and more. RawTherapee can be quite memory intensive during RAW conversion and is optimized for 64-bit operating systems. This is a quite capable and impressive image processor although it does require some RAW editing experience. A detailed PDF manual is available from the website. Copyright Snapfiles.com

A few issues 3 stars by gimpguy Aug 06, 2012 (Read all my 1159 reviews)
Ok, first of all, this seems like it could be an awesome Raw image handler, enhancer and all the above. The biggest problem I have with it is the quirkiness. I have plenty of resources to run this but it keeps freezing up and other odd issues include when clicking on a filter arrow, nothing appears under it. I've even had the filter settings overlap each other in a transparent mess. If I try to close the program, it stops responding completely. Aside from this, the filters, the few times I got this working on an image, were top notch. The interface is extremely easy to use and not harsh on the eyes, making it very easy to work with images visually. I do have the X64 bit version, not sure how the 32 would work, or work better perhaps, not sure but I am thinking of trying it. My son's system is top notch, he has a graphics card that can run a wall full of tvs and his system tests usually put him as one of the highest. Even so, he has a hard time getting this to work correctly on his system so I know it's not just mine which leads me to believe there is some fixing that needs to be done here. Maxing out our CPUs just to load an image is a bit much. So I am only giving this a 3 currently, maybe some improvements in future versions which I truly hope there are, I will give it another go as this would be my favorite Raw image software otherwise. show Review details
