security enhanced task manager Security Task Manager is an enhanced task manager, that provides advanced information about programs and processes running on the computer. It displays all the standard information, including file name, directory path, description, CPU usage etc. as well as a unique security risk rating. The security risk rating is based on an analysis that takes takes different aspects of the process into consideration, and indicates the likelihood of the process being potential spyware, malware or a Trojan. This indicator is purely based on generic analysis, and does not use any signature files, so it is open to interpretation by the (advanced) user. Security Task Manager also displays the start time, the icon of the process, hidden functions and more. It can recognize virtual driver software, services and also BHOs or processes hidden from the Windows task manager. You can choose to terminate any process, delete it, or alternately quarantine it, which will disable it from running again without actually deleting it. Additional information is provided via context sensitive Google results, and you can customize risk ratings by adding your own comments. Like the Windows Task Manager, Neuber GbR's Security Task Manager 1.6 shows what tasks are running. It lists stealth tasks that can't be seen in Task Manager and provides detailed information about each task including a risk rating and list of hidden functions. And it will warn when any program attempts to install itself for automatic launching at Windows startup. The SpyProtector add-on helps the user delete Web-surfing and recent-file traces and disables keyloggers and other surveillance software. show Review details

Rates the services,programs and drivers that are running based upon? Does show cpu,memory,etc.,usages as well as detects registry changes. However there are quite a few free programs out that pretty much do what this one does. Some even do it much better minus the color coding. show Review details
