zero-configuration DLNA media server SimpleDLNA is a simple, zero-configuration DLNA media server that you can use to stream your movies, videos, photos and audio files to any DLNA compatible devices, including SmartTVs, game consoles etc. Once you've installed SimpleDLNA, simply add the folder(s) that contain your media files and start streaming - no additional configuration required. If you have a lot of content, you can categorize your streams into multiple sections (e.g Movies, TV etc.) to make them easy to navigate. Files can be sorted based on their size/date/title and you can choose from several content view and filter options. Other features include access restrictions based on IP, MAC or User-Agent, as well as a built-in HTTP web interface that enables you to access your content from any web browser on the network. This application is a working, simple DLNA server that you can turn on quickly to share media files across your network (and beyond). Navigation is file and directory based only, but you can select several useful ways to organize/display your files. Thanks to the programmer for this simple server without any bloat at all. It is now really easy for me to share directories on a windows machine and play files on TVs phones, tablets, etc. around the house. show Review details
