text search and replace tool V-Grep is a text search and replace tool with support for Regular Expressions, that enables you to find text occurrences based on simple a simple string match or complex patterns and replace them with a new word, sentence or value. The program is designed to provide a Windows version of the Unix GREP command, and includes a guide to Regular Expressions, as well as a testing tool to practice and verify complex search patterns. The results are presented with highlighted result matches and excerpts, and can be exported to text or HTML. Nice grep util

It works well when using the "Search in Files" function, has good features and is pretty quick. The other options such as "Search in File" and the HELP are incomplete and gave me "Access Violation" error when accessing them, as well as, exiting the program under Windows 7x64. I am not sure this program will be updated since it was created in 2006 but it has promise if they do. But in the mean time other Grep utilities may be a better choice till then. Get it, use it, rate it!

Compact - Versatile - Fantastic. No bulky interface. Regex capable. As a MS sufferer it sure helps on so many tedious tasks and your results are accurate all the time. Does the job once and man its quick. Any one working in the computer field should invest the time to use this program, it will pay back huge dividends.
